In May 2010, the Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz) contracted Larson Research and Strategy Consulting, Inc., and DSS Research to study changes in perceptions of American baby boomers regarding financial services products and the professionals who market them.
A representative sample of 1,642 U.S. households was surveyed. The results were published in a study titled “Reclaiming the Future.”
Allianz published a summary of their survey results in August 2011. Quoting from “The Allianz Reclaiming the Future Study White Paper,” we learn:
